Maybe a part of this problem is on those of us on the right or center? If at the first time these people started acting up like this we had given them a slap on the ass or a poke on the nose maybe it would have smartened them up. The worst part is once they know they can get away with acting like this they have no reason to stop.

The part where Steven Bonnell says conservatives should be "afraid of getting killed when they go to events so they look to their leadership to turn down the temperature," is extremely telling.

First, it is the Left who consistently raises the temperature, with the Kirk assassination being just the latest in a string of Leftist violence.

Secondly, and most importantly, what Bonnell is saying is nothing new in human history. It is one group trying to control the population through FEAR. That is terrorism. The Leftist tactics are increasingly in line with terrorist tactics.

Imagine if Conservatives were to say the Left needs to turn down their rhetoric, and stop holding rallies, etc. or they're susceptible to being hurt or killed? That would actually give the Left real justification for calling the Right fascists, etc. But that is not what is happening, because the real situation is that the Left are made up of more people who believe violence and intimidation are the answers. Beyond their beliefs, that is why they are wrong.

Some of my liberal friends claim that Charlie Kirk had hate speech, but he didn't, he simply disagreed with their liberal viewpoints. I'm really sick of Liberals wanting to shove their viewpoints on other people and then claiming hate when we don't believe the same way that they do. Now we have someone dead and liberals crying for more to die. I hope enough of America wakes up, but we need to have more conservative media to help that to happen.

It may not be quite that simple since the FCC has stepped in.

When we see stuff like this, look, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. These companies can find ways to change conduct, on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

It's like everything with this administration. Lots of harsh talk but NO action.
Nowhere. No arrests. No indictments. Nothing. Nobody in jail.
I stand by what I said. Kimmel will be back and more full of shit than ever.

I tend to think you are correct. This is going to be an "indefinite suspension" for the public, but will probably be a 14 to 30 day vacation for Kimmel.

Is it a coincidence that NEXSTAR, which owns 32 TV station and is seeking a $6+ Billion merger that needs to be approved by the Trump administration, just issued a statement saying they strongly object to Jimmy Kimmel and will cease running his TV show? Could it be that NEXSTAR is taking a hard line position to get the merger approved? Or is it maybe seeking redemption?





Apparently Kimmel has no plans to apologize and the Trump Admistration's FCC Chairman has thanked NEXSTAR for their position to keep Kimmel off the air. Of course NEXSTAR's said "for the foreseeable future, which is lawyer weasel talk. So I'm not taking a firm position on Kimmel getting kicked off the air.
