Well we are getting over the shock and now we are getting some factual reporting.

Steven Crowder (Louder with Crowder) broke news that the shooter had "Transifa" (transgender/Antifa) ties.

The NYTimes and WSJ seem to have confirmed that.

Utah Department of Public Safety official Beau Mason and FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Bohls briefed reporters with new details on the political assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk and the ongoing manhunt for the suspect who remains at large. Separate from the press conference, the Wall Street Journal confirmed (following an initial report by Steven Crowder) that the "older-model .30 caliber hunting rifle" used in the assassination contained "ammunition engraved with expressions of transgender and antifascist ideology inside the rifle." Additional details about the weapon will be provided at the end of this note.​

The FBI also has "good video footage of this individual," and the bureau has "tracked his movements," FBI agent Bohls told reporters. ​

Bohls said agents on the ground recovered "a high-powered action rifle," noting that it was found in a wooded area where the shooter had fled.​

"Investigators have collected footwear impression, a palmprint and forearm imprints for analysis," the special agent in charge said. He did not provide any color about the assassin's motive. ​

Answering a question from a reporter, Mason said the suspect "appears to be of college age".​

Let's take a step back. Yesterday, an alleged eyewitness said Kirk was shot around the same time that someone in the crowd "was asked about trans violence."​

Which brings us to Steven Crowder, who was the first to report on the political messaging found on the assassin's weapon.​

Mr. Kirk was speaking at the University as part of the American Comeback Tour. Multiple SLC I and III agents responded immediately. The suspect fired one shot from an elevated position on a rooftop in an adjacent building on the campus and surveillance video shows the suspect, jumping off and fleeing the area on foot. ATF and other law-enforcement located an older model imported Mauser .30-06 caliber bolt action rifle wrapped in a towel in a wooded area near the campus. ​

The location of the firearm appears to match the suspects route of travel. The spent cartridge was still chambered in addition to three unspent rounds at the top fed magazine. All cartridges have engraved wording on them, expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology. An emergency trace has been submitted an ATF SLC is working leads generated by the trace. The firearm and ammunition have been taken by the FBI for DNA analysis and fingerprint impressions. Upon completion of forensics, the firearm will be disassembled for additional importer information. ​

And the other side murdered him.
Not because he was “extreme” or “inciting violence” or any other hyperbolic slur they hurled at him. They murdered him because he was effective. Because he was unafraid. Because he inspired others and made them feel like they had a voice, that they were not alone. And he did it at the very institutions which have fomented so much hatred toward conservatives.
I don’t want to “stand in solidarity” with the other side of the aisle. I want to defeat you. I want to defeat the godless ideology that kills babies in the womb, sterilizes confused children, turns our cities into cesspools of degeneracy and lawlessness…and that murdered Charlie Kirk.
Social media is aflame right now with leftist celebration of Charlie’s death.
I wonder if any among them understand what has just happened. If there is a Yamamoto somewhere in their midst warning, that all they have done is awoken a sleeping giant.
I doubt it. I think they gave up such introspection and self-awareness long ago.
I don’t know exactly what will happen next. I just know that it won’t be the same as what has happened in the past.
There will be thoughts and prayers…Charlie would have wanted prayers. Not for himself but for those left behind and for the country that he loved.
But then there will be a reckoning.
My Christian faith requires me to love my enemies and pray for those who curse me. It does not require me to stand idly by in the midst of savagery and barbarism...quite the opposite.
So every time I feel tired, every time I feel discouraged or overwhelmed, I am going to watch the video of a good man being murdered in Utah…I will force myself to watch it…and then I will return to the work of destroying the evil ideology responsible for that and so much more.
Rest with God Charlie, your fight is over.
Ours is just beginning.
 
Looks like the killer, Robinson, effectively ended his own life, at 22, even earlier than he ended Kirk's, at 31. And killing Kirk will only enhance Kirk's message and legacy. Justice will be served, and Kirk is now a martyr for free speech and free debate, which will endure. The Left's positions are increasingly so irrational and illogical, that the only way they think they can win the debate is by permanently silencing the opposition. It won't work. It will only make them look more unhinged.

When the Party leader tears up the Presidents speech on live TV, we were at that crucial time. And being patient conservatives as we are, we did nothing. When a cop fought with a perp for his life and did his duty, a small city, Ferguson, erupted and a nation went to riotous mayhem for an entire summer. And we did nothing.
a sitting Senator tells her supporters to physically attack in public restaurants, those with whom she disagreed, we did nothing.
When a peaceful public figure who's influence effect patriotism in our up and coming youth, as well as much of the nation's population, they shot him.

This incident may or may not be about the survival of our nation. But if we lose said nation, will it be because once again WE DID NOTHING?

I sincerely hope not.
Charlie Kirk died because he preached and believed in the goodness of this nation. Let us hope his death was not for nothing.

So tell me, what should, and can we do?

We should do what Charlie Kirk did. Keep talking, keep debating, keep putting so much common sense out there that it forces the unhinged Left further into their small corners. Will some of them lash out like they did against Kirk? Yes, of course, but that will only serve to reveal their true nature for everyone to see, and that their positions are insane and illogical. I really hope nobody else gets killed in the process, but for every person the Left attacks, it's just one more piece of evidence that they are the violent ones. Not us. We believe in peace, in civilization, in life, and in freedom. We will never meet words with violence, no matter what they spout.
