Some people do choose avatars in order to try to impress people into thinking they are something they are not.
Some people just choose an avatar of something that is ordinary, like the sky, or a flower..
Some use personalities to express themselves and make a statement that they identify with.
Some use their own face.

Thanks, but it's actually something that I'd hope expresses my feelings about life and the world.PG's avatar is like a magical Disney movie. One that brings to mind
the ability to cast a spell on one. She has picked a good one.
Cuz.. she can cast a spell on any male reading posts.
Dressed in black= widowed and my back turned away from the pain of that, and I am sorta goth when I choose to be.

Truth be told, law school admission requires a "headshot." My brother's a professional photographer, so we decided to have a little fun with it. Needless to say, there were some law schools to which I was declined admission .....
For when I change it so's folks knows what I'm talkin' 'bout.
