Oh yes you can, you're just not being true to your faith. Now there is the whole problem with organized religion in my opinion, you can't have your own opinions.
I saw that this morning myself and thought it was funny. Poor Brits forgot all about catholics once the started the Church of England.![]()
C of E doesn't hold sway over the whole UK. Besides, I have never seen a British Catholic do that to themselves in my life. Maybe PG, who's lived in both places can set us straight but I bet most Brits, when they find out the reason, break down in hysterical laughter. "He did what to himself????". Just saying.
Now there is the whole problem with organized religion in my opinion, you can't have your own opinions.
Joe I think within reason you can have different opinions amongst the group. But something as decisive as abortion I don't think you can. Gun control for example, some churches are for it and some are not. But they are not going to push that down you and will allow the members to have their opinion.
As I have said before on abortion I have no opinion pro or con. Now I have 4 kids, 17 grandkids and 4 great grandkids so my wife and I never gave it any thoughts for sure. I had the problem of having kids fixed at 21 years old with a minor surgical procedure which by the way at the time no catholic doctor would perform. I was also raised by catholic grandparents so I know their rules on such issues as birth control in general, sorry I don't buy the line that abortion shouldn't be between a woman doctor and her own moral code. I sure don't want my Representative to serve a Pope in Rome wishes over what the people that voted for him might want either. As for being against abortion simply choose not to have one you do have that right.
No it isn't if that is what the majority of his voters in his district are for.
