What are you doing today, II

Full sun today. Temps in the high 30's F. Green House at 85%F with one ground level heater still running.
House is at 73%F.
Furnace gets to rest for a while.

Self explanatory basically.

I went grocery shopping, after that I decided to pop inside Dollar Tree to pick up some cheap stuff.
While in there, the ceiling was dripping, then raining down on the shelves.
I ranted about it on our local Napoleon Facebook page.
Then I had stopped at a placed called Hawk's
for a sub and bbq chips.
They forgot my lettuce, onion and tomato, so I added it myself.
Those are Ruffles by the way, not bbq chips 😬😅

Went with my son for clothes shopping getting teenage girl's clothing, it is for an experience he is going to learn walking in someone else's shoes. He signed up to see what teenage girls go through for 2 weeks and his female friends are glad he is doing this. A couple good friends of his and him are doing this. They know he is good to them and have taught him a few things. I am proud of him for doing this and told him it will not be easy telling him what I went through when I was a teenager. He knows and will be a learning experience for him. He had his ears pierced 6 weeks ago, this was part of it. Next week Friday afternoon, gets his hair done with removable hair extensions put in

Everyone in class wilknow it is him, not a hetr. So will his family and friends.
So, for all the efforts of the charade, what will he learn?
What will anyone learn?
Askin' for a friend.

Just as you came out to your family, sounds like he is trying to ease you in to the reality that he is trans. JMHO.

I worked the half shift last evening.
Our facility is gradually doing a transition of the back wing 300 hall into a lock down dementia/behavior unit, while 400 is remaining for those folks with independence - and without cognitive impairment.
The front wing 200 (rehab) has only 4 admissions at the moment, so I was there for med pass (on both 200 and 400), treatments and anything else necessary on the smaller scale of things.

That's it!
Happy Sunday.

I woke up feeling like I got shot at and missed nut sh*** at and hit
One of the firehouse guys called and said one of our trucks at our other station barely started.
I went up and and checked it out the battery tender is working but when you crank it over 12v drops to 5 ish volts

Got my stall cleaned up, used car dealer I do work for is coming with a 2013 Traverse that needs timing chains. He bought it from the dealer whom got it as a trade in. Found out it has been maintained well with the oil changes done on time, he did a carfax report on it.

In between shopping for a new used compact suv for a city beater, I'll be outside uncovering the snowmobiles for the first time in 2 years and giving them a once over getting them ready for a ride this Sunday. We didn't have any snow last winter and this year is pathetic at best with around 12" on the level.

Going up near 50°F today.
Thank God, I can take my walk through the park without freezing.
Then a run to Defiance later to talk to my son Ty about something.
It requires an in-person conversation vs text or phone chat.

Got that Traverse in and got it apart. Parts on order which some are coming in this afternoon and tomorrow. The customer seen it coming in later and told him I am putting in a water pump seeing it was starting to leak. Said do that including replacing the belt and he possibly has it sold already, to a young lady whom is a single mom of 3 kids. He was glad I told him it has new brakes all around too. I checked it around and all safe

One would think that an Iraq war veteran who was shot, and is an amputee would be receiving benefits.
One would also think that a person recently diagnosed with breast cancer wouldn't be out working on cars.
One would also think that if someone recently received an exchange student to host in their home wouldn't be feeling the need to hit 6 internet forums for daily updates on said bs life 🙄
But then, what do I know?
The End

I'm a little confused.

When has timing chain ever been plural?
and told him I am putting in a water pump seeing it was starting to leak.
Never in my life have I ever had a timing chain replaced where the water pump wasn't also replaced. That's standard protocol for every mechanic I've ever dealt with.

Evasion after lying often involves techniques like ignoring the question, acknowledging it without answering, or redirecting the conversation. This behavior allows the person to avoid direct confrontation while still maintaining a semblance of honesty.

I went to work to talk to the nurse scheduler about possible shifts next month.
I picked up 6 shifts.
Then my federal return finally hit the bank, so I transferred some funds, and spent some on myself.
I got my Medicare started for next month, it's not as difficult to understand as I thought it would be.
$185 will be coming out of my social security monthly, for part B.
They send you that big ass booklet to read for tips and knowledge about how it all works.
I stopped at Agave Grill on Lagrange and got myself a taco bowl.
Very nice people working there.
They liked my tip lol

Did work on taxes then came outside for fresh air and a mental breather.

Not warm outside so I had a heated vest on under my coat. Had the vest running for a bit and noticed it's getting pretty damn hot in the battery compartment. Pulled the battery and it's friggin hot! I put the infrared thermometer to it and it was 190° and the case was melting!!! Contacted the mfgr who sounded pretty concerned about it. Customer service opened a ticket and I'll get a call back tomorrow. At minimum, she said I'll get a new battery. Just glad it didn't catch on fire when I was wearing the vest.

Now wondering how I properly dispose of this melting battery and whether it's worth notifying the CPSC.

Got back from the tattoo shop, had my USMC tattoo on my left arm redone which the colors were starting to fade. I got it done in 2000 and was drunk at the time while off leave not remembering a thing.A couple guys I also served with and I decided to go to the bar on night getting drunk going to a tattoo shop after leaving the bar. My mom saw it when I came home on leave and asked me what was I thinking. She seen what it looked like View attachment 187351
That's not your tattoo.
It belongs to an actual Marine named Kevin B.
He had it done at a tattoo place in Texas.
I'm on Pinterest and have been for years.

Edit to add: you cannot be drunk and get a tattoo in the United States Marine Corps.
