My first observation of Harris' VP pick is that it's not Shapiro, who most thought she would pick because it would have been the smarter move. Shapiro is more of a moderate Dem, and he's Jewish, which would have demonstrated that Harris was moderating herself, at least in view of the election. However, by not picking Shapiro, and by picking Walz instead, she is saying that she is going to bow to the woke left who are increasingly anti-Israel and anti-semitic, and that she would rather ally herself with someone who has demonstrated himself to be far left on several issues.
Thus, I am happy with her pick because I think it will hurt her more than help her, and I want her to lose. She thinks she is consolidating the left vote with Walz, but I think she loses more than she gains by losing more of the moderate and independent vote.
