Now this was emailed to me from a friend. It is really a cute pic, but now that I am "photo shop" shy. I have heard that albino deer really do not get very big. I did "snoop" it as well.

A friend of mine has an albino deer trophy mounted on his livingroom wall. I'm pretty sure the photoshop gang has not gotten to his wall yet. :bonk:

Lucky guy, in some states he would be serving time in jail for killing an Albino animal. They are illegal here, unless things have changed

If this is real, he should be sure they are well fed so they dont have to wonder far, keep them safe in other words. I just saw the normal deer in the pic...........

Great pics PigTails!

Although legal to hunt albino and fallow deer in my state, most everyone I know considers it bad luck to shoot one.

A recent anecdote.
We had an albino around here a couple years back. Many saw it but and had a chance to shoot but nobody would.

Some big game hunter paid something like $5,000 if someone could find the deer and arrange for him to get a shot. Well, it happened and he got the deer. A few weeks after the taxidermist returned the full mount, the guys house burnt to the ground. He lost several hundred mounts from hunts he had from all over the world.

Yeah, you're right, what was I thinking? Medium-rare, NO seasoning of any sort then.

:chef: Yer right. Meat cooked right don't need no extra seasoning.:thumb:

The area around Argonne National Laboratory just west of Chicago has a huge population of albino deer.

You are not suppose to hunt Albino Moose here in Alaska, but some did. We had a family of them, about fifty miles South of here, but they came up missing one year... They did tend to stick out a bit.

A guy shot what he thought was an Albino Brown bear, but it was half polar bear and have Brown/Grizzly bear. They were going to charge him with shooting a polar bear, but he got off when it tested as part brown/grizzly.

Which of course means that if the polar Ice disapears, the polar bears are going to fade into the Brown/Grizzly populations... Again, Nature does what it wants too...

:pat: I looked before you posted the picture. I thought you were talking about the albino doe in your sig line! :yum:
