This should be interesting with the youth on this board ......

My first was Jethro Tull with Richie Blackmore opening in 75'

The best I've seen is tough. Joe Satriani is my favorite so I'm biased, he's always great. Recently saw Joe Bonamassa and what a super blues man. A few more best remembered was Kid Rock, the guys energy and ability (he ended up playing every instrument on the stage) is second to none I've seen. And then there was the ZZ Top Eliminator tour with the ZZ Top girls, oh my! Saw Kiss in 76', great theatrics but the plus was Bob Seager opened for them!!!

I honestly can't say how many times I've seen Satch (but he wins the number for sure), ZZ Top, and Blue Oyster Cult ........... all more than 5 times.

Honorable mention: Page & Plant reunion tour, Oz fest (Ozzy, Judas Priest, Slip Knot), Brooks and Dunn

First was Rare Earth, best Led Zeppelin I suppose although many were great. Most, a tie with Kiss, Aerosmith, and Charley Daniels @ 3 each.

Other bands I have seen include.

Foghat
Three Dog Night
Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
Eagles
Blue Oyster Cult
Black Sabbath
Marshal Trucker
New Riders of the Purple Sage.
Beach Boys
Jefferson Airplane
Golden Earing
Black Oak Arkansas
Styx
REO
Steve Wariner
Bad Company
ELO
Ted Nugget ( Uncle Ted yelled at us because he could smell pot) :whistling:
Uriah Heep

.............. jeez I know there's more, most where in a haze!

I wish I could have seen Zepplin, the Stones and the Who in their heyday. I did see the Who on their Tommy Tour in the 80's, and I saw the Stones twice in the 90's but never ever got to see Zepplin. My loss.

My first was ZZ Top. It blew me away. Frampton's Camel (soon to be just Peter Frampton) opened for them. Loved the entire show. Great first concert.

Others I saw and thoroughly enjoyed:
Neil Young
Crosby Stills and Nash
Joe Cocker
Bob Dylan
Fleetwood Mac
Melissa Etheridge
Eric Clapton
Tom Petty
Georgia Satellites
The Allman Brothers
Lou Reed
Greatful Dead
Edgar Winter
Paul McCartney
Ringo Star
Stevie Ray Vaughan
I'm sure there is more but that's the ones that come to mind right now.

Worst show ever: New Kids on the Block. Had to take my daughters to see them. It was pure agony. :yum:

Ahhh that's cute. You saw Loverboy. :yum: JK (that might be the worst band name of all time)

Really you copied much of my list. We can't be the only two on here to see the Stones and the Who.
And you reminded me I saw the Doobie Brothers and David Bowie (Bono from U2 joined Bowie on stage for the last few songs. Very kewl surprise.) We were driving to Cleveland from Columbus for an Indians game. At a rest stop close to Cleveland someone asked one of our group if we were heading to see Bowie. We said no, didn't even know he was there that night. Dude said there are still tickets for sale ...we opted to go to Bowie, totally unplanned but found out later the Indians lost again that night so no biggie. The Indians were still playing in Browns Stadium at the time and Bowie was at the Collosium where the Cavs played. It was a good choice on our part. :D

I saw Joe Walsh when he played with Ringo Starr and his allstar band.
Would loved to have seen CSN&Y all together. That must've been awesome!!!!!!

My wife and I saw Keith Urban and he put on a hell of a show, he was all over the stage. Of course that's when he had a cocaine addiction so we weren't surprised. We definatley got our money's worth that night.

First, and one of the best was Day on the Green 1983, Oakland Coliseum. Journey headlined, with Bryan Adams, Triumph, Eddie Money, Night Ranger

Best? Stevie Ray Vaughan

Highlights? Hank Williams Jr first two times, Sammy Hagar VOA tour at Cow Palace, Waylon Jennings at original Arco Arena

Worst? third time seeing Hank Jr... That boy can drink!

Great small venue band? Hot Rize and Red Knuckles and the Trailblasers

Biggest Surprise? went with friends to see Neal Diamond; awesome performer!

Best Festival? KVMR Fathers Day Bluegrass Festival

Guess it is hard list, cause where do you draw line of Concert vs Club...

First was Charlie Daniels in the early Sixties; Best is a tough question, but I'm going with Rod McKuen at Santa Monica Civic in '69 - it was the first one Dragonfly Lady and I attended together! Some of the rest:

Peter, Paul, & Mary
John Denver
John Hartford
The Smothers Brothers
Gordon Lightfoot
Bob Hope ('Nam)
Canned Hilltop
Tom Paxton
Juice Newton
Andres Segovia
The Captain & Tennille
Judy Collins

There's more, but that's pretty representative.
