What if they shut down the government and nobody noticed?

I know that with Kobe, when he was an infant, there was a "debit" card issued. There were only certain foods it would pay for. Next time you are in the grocery store look at the shelf tags closely. The tags with "WIC" are available to purchase with the debit card.

BUT . . . there were limits.

So you could not just max out the card on your favorite product. We were allowed specific quantities each month.

Something like 1 'canister' of Oatmeal, 3 canisters of baby formula, 2 1/2 gallons of apple juice, etc etc. We had a list. Had to work off the list. It did not include, beer, tattoos or cigarettes.
 
Apparently the layoffs and closing have begun?

I'm seeing vague reports but nothing yet on specific departments and programs that are permanently closing.

Anyone got updates I have not seen?
 
I was going to post the same sort of thing. Once again all talk and no action. He needs to fire at least 2000 by Tuesday or my feelings will be strengthened. And then 2000 more every day until this ends.
And who he's indicted seem to be weak cases. Again, 9 months in and only low level players getting bit.

Looks like he terminated (RIF = Reduction in force) of a small number of federal workers.

So 4000 are now gone. Out of 750,000.

Seems like we should be able to spare a few more?

Oh wait there is more:

The entire staff at the Community Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI) received a layoff notice on Friday. Now this is a small agency, only 102 total people. But it was a pure D.E.I. agency to “expand economic opportunity for underserved people and communities by supporting the growth and capacity.”

The CDFI The fund awarded $4.9 million to the “Local Initiatives Support Corporation,” which publishes material condemning “whiteness” in community development. It has also supported LGBTQ clinics that provide so-called “gender-affirming hormone therapy” to clients “of any age,” and granted $6.7 million to the Clearinghouse CDFI, which hosted a fashion show promoting transgenderism. ​

And honestly if we can close down more than a few dozen of these types of agencies and funds, they probably are the bulk of the troublemaker agencies and departments and divisions that push regulations, DEI, and other such fallacies that 'help' mankind.

Average government employee makes 88k per year. And in 50% for benefits and taxes. Times 4100 people.
That's about 500,000,000 per year for at least 3 years. 1.5 billion.
Get rid of 40,000.

I don't think 40,000 is nearly enough.

75,000 would be 10% of the 750,0000.

Most large organizations can, with critical analysis, from time to time, trim 10% of their workforce. Why not the US government?

HOWEVER, I do like that, rather than just trimming 10% off the top, he actually ELIMINATED an entire group, so that is gone, shut down, and eliminated. Now lets see him do that 10 or 20 more times.
