What Do you all do for living or retirement, other than snowcats

I started logging in the West Kooenays of BC when I was 16. I spent 17 years in the bush running all sorts of equipment, did a couple of winters in northern BC and Alberta. Got out of logging 4 years ago and went mining in the East Kootenays. Worked in one of the open pit mines for 3 years and now I'm just starting an apprenticeship for HD mechanic. The wife said I might as well get paid for doing something you love to do, hellya.

Just retired after a little over 21 years in the Coast Guard. Now I'm going to take a little break and then find a real job just to keep me from going stir crazy.

I have been known to move immovable objects, resist irresistible forces, tame lions with a blunted #2 pencil, overthrow defunct governments, and tune pianos using only a champagne glass and my left big toe.

I think your associates do most of work and you just sign your name, :yum:
but the one with toe you can claim, :w00t2:

Professional Data Wrangler. I move One's and Zero's across a multinational corporations vast network of tubes. Some people refer to me as the Cisco Kid. Life is not easy on the open source range. I am constantly on the look out for data rustlers. IP therefore I am!

I grew up and now live in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan on the south shore of lake Superior. After high school and a year of college studying commercal art, I joined the merchant marine and spent two years working for the oil industry on off shore supply boats. I returned home and opened a picture frame/art dealership that I ran for 21 years. During this time I became interested in M29 Weasels. I have also owned and sold 5 weasels, a DUKW duck, a GPA amphibious jeep, a GP Jeep, and Dodge M37 weapons carrier. I saw my first 601 parked behind a barn in Seeny Michigan (It is now Weatherby's Masterpiece) and had to have one some day. Right now I have one M29C weasel and the M37 and a Thiokol 601. Five years ago I got out of business and got a job with the Lake Superior & Ishpeming Railroad. I am a Congineer (combination conductor and Engineer depending on what is needed) We transport Iron ore rom the iron mines to the ore dock in Marquette where it is loaded onto ore boats. I use my vehicles at my hunting camp near Big Bay Michigan.
