What a Disgusting Habit!

I apologize in advance to you smokers out there, but smoking is a disgusting habit. Listen, I have to deal with many unpleasant things in my line of work- people puking, bleeding, mangled, screaming, etc, etc. However, most often I am going into peoples homes, some of them expensive, lavish places, where these places REEK of cigarette smoke (not to mention the patient). There is no avoiding walking out of there smelling almost as bad as the place, and short of changing and taking a shower, the stench sticks with you for hours. What a disgusting habit!!:puke1:
There, I feel better (I also showered when I got home).

Well, smoke is meant to be drawn OUT of the place. Not kept. As a semi-smoker I NEVER want the smoke to waffle and stay where I am. Its just not meant for that. Yet many people dont care. I hate it and I feel for ya.

I totally agree. My wife is a former smoker and the smell of the ash tray used to make me sick!

On the other hand, I do love a good cigar. I rarely smoke them, maybe a few a year, certainly never inside unless it is in a cigar lounge, etc. Somehow a cigar smells good, but cigarettes totally gross me out.

I love a good looking women!! But when they pulll out that cigarette they are not as good looking anymore. Shame I see more and more women and less and less men smoking now.

Women that smoke turns me on! :coolshade
Sushi, are you in luck! The patient I saw yesterday happens to be single! Shall I give her your number and the two of you can hook up? A few things you might want to know- she is 79 years old (I know, older women turn you on), suffers from emphysema (let me guess, you like heavy breathing too, right?), and called 9-1-1 yesterday for her abdominal pain and diarrhea (I know, that turns you on too).

OOooops I am a smoker!
Ha, someone admits it. :thumb:

Most people are actually surprised that I am not a smoker. My retail stores are "smoke shops" and are adult only (must be 18 to enter) purveyors of cigarettes, cigars and tobacco products. My wholesale business is well diversified but is primarily known for its sale of tobacco and cigarettes. I tend to be very tolerant of smokers, but prefer not to have a dirty ashtray in my bedroom:smileywac

Ehhhhhh.... no thanks. :smileywac

Well, MT and I are were both smokers. I quit 20 some years ago and MT, 7 or so years ago. Now he knows and even comments on how bad it smells if we go out somewhere where they still allow smoking.. ugh..I cured him from smoking in the bedroom by leaving the heat turned off and the door closed one nice frosty day after he left for work. I was so disgusted with the way my clothes smelled in the closet and just wanted to air it out. Well, I forgot that I left the heat off and that night when he went in to get ready for bed, boy did :shitHitFan: ..:yum: I told him I left it open to air it out from all the cigarette smoke and was tired of my clothes smelling like it too. So, that ended the smoking in the bedroom. But he quit smoking just "cold turkey" one day.. ..

Funny how some ex-smokers become ANTI-smokers and others, like my mom, stilled loved the smell of smoke. She used to tell me years after quitting that she would love a cigarette after dinner. I know a few other ex-smokers who feel the same way. If they took that cigarette after dinner they would take up the habit again, so they don't. But my wife is rabidly anti-smoking and swears she can smell it if people smoke in the car in front of her car on the road.

Linda and I quit last Feb. We still visit w/ our smoking friends, just discourage smoking in our home. I vowed not to do as a lot of former smokers do and take up something else, like preaching!!!!

I smoked for about 8 years. I quit about 30 years ago and yet today I still have the desire to have one. Even though I know if I did I would probably sh*t my pants. I don't preach much to others about quitting and I believe our government does not have the right to stop smoking in private business. If someone doesn't like the smoke in a certain restaurant they can move onto another restaurant in my opinion.

I do not smoke in my bedroom, there are plenty of other rooms in the house! My bedroom is a smoke-free zone, as all the walls are white and would not stay that way if I succumbed to the 'filthy habit' in there.

IQ,

Nice cozy pics.

The only people we preach to, is our son and daughter-in-law. But I guess that is our privilege as our son wouldn't know what to do if we didn't..When they come to visit, they do respect our choice of not smoking in the house. :respect:
