Personally I think this is a great idea to advance the "Vance Brand" and, hopefully to continue to build upon Kirk's Turning Point's success at college campuses by energizing young voters, registering young voters and turning out young voters. All of which are needed for the GOP to hold off impeachment hearings and the undercutting of the Trump adgenda.

I think this is a great strategy for not only enhancing the chances of JD Vance to get voted in as President in 2028, but also a great way to keep Charlie Kirk's legacy alive for many more years. Get younger, conservative, religious, politicians who can stand up to debate and handle a microphone to do what Charlie did. Civil debate. On campus. Reaching out to critics and allies. Civil discourse with those who agree both agree and disagree. Talking brings us together.

Vice President JD Vance plans to step into Charlie Kirk’s shoes and take questions from college students at a campus event later this month.
Vance, who was a close friend of the assassinated conservative activist, said Wednesday he would speak on Oct. 29 at a Turning Point USA event at the University of Mississippi in Oxford. He will appear alongside Kirk’s wife and the new Turning Point CEO, Erika Kirk.
“I’m going to do exactly what Charlie did,” the vice president said, appearing live on “The Charlie Kirk Show” from the White House campus. “My plan is to give a little speech, talk about the issues of the day, but turn most of it over to just do Q&A with the audience. I want to hear from these kids, I want to answer questions from them.”
“He would answer tough questions from the left and from the right, and so I want to do that too,” Vance added.
Turning Point, an organization focused on engaging conservative youth voters, resumed its campus tours last month after Charlie Kirk was shot while answering questions at a college in Orem, Utah, on Sept. 10. The Ole Miss event will be the only one where Erika Kirk speaks, said Andrew Kolvet, producer of “The Charlie Kirk Show.”
“Part of keeping Charlie’s memory alive is keeping the mission alive,” the vice president added. “Nobody can replace Charlie, but if we all take little pieces, we can do as much as we can to ensure that Charlie’s mission continues to survive long after he’s gone.”
President Donald Trump on Tuesday bestowed Charlie Kirk with a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country’s top civilian honor. Erika Kirk, who spoke at the Rose Garden event, has been staying with the second family in the Naval Observatory, Vance said.
