I'll admit that I didn't watch Tucker Carlson. I don't really know how Twitter broadcast works either.

But It looks like Carlson is moving his show to Twitter. And it also looks like that may hurt Twitter's ability to attract advertisers to the platform. But given that Carlson was more popular that all of FOX, seems like he should be able to bring plenty of new advertisers to the Twitter platform.

Mr. Carlson said Tuesday that he is launching a show on Twitter, just weeks after Fox News canceled his nightly telecast. Mr. Carlson was one of Fox’s most popular anchors, but his controversial brand of programming repelled blue-chip advertisers, and he was the target of organized advertiser boycotts.
Several ad buyers said the arrival of Mr. Carlson will make it even harder for Twitter—which has faced an exodus of advertisers—to lure brands back.
“Tucker’s transition to Twitter will terrify advertisers,” said Brendan Gahan, chief social officer at digital-ad agency Mekanism. Mr. Carlson’s move will “likely further taint Twitter’s image and keep advertisers away,” Mr. Gahan said.
A spokesman for Mr. Carlson declined to comment. Twitter auto-replied to a request for comment with a poop emoji. . . .

I never heard of a twitter broadcast before. Wonder if that is a new sideline for twitter. Will Musk make twitter a rival of You Tube for broadcasts. Interesting.

Me either!

I think he will be using Rumble for the actual video hosting.

YouTube is owned by Google? Or Meta? In any case, YouTube has a history of shutting down free speech, censoring news, etc. No way would Tucker be able to use anyone like that.

So my guess is that Rumble will host the actual videos but Twitter will be the platform used to distribute the message and links to the video. Honestly I didn't watch Carlson because I don't have FOX streaming set up on my ROKU. I've seen some of his clips and found him to be insightful, aggressive at seeking his point and, and brave at making his points
