TR - Here is my carbine I got from my father. It was a paratrooper, he took the the paratrooper stock off and threw it way! He was commander of an engineer company that carried carbines. When the armorer came around he brought my father this stock which he refinished with linseed oil, hand rubbed. I had a chance to buy an aftermarket paratrooper stock but passed.

I may be far from a young man, but I am as worthy as they get :yum:

That's a beautiful stock, but I am sure I do not need to remind you how much that old original paratrooper stock would be worth these days. :whistling:
 
Oh, I do know. My father never did and it was his decision and several bad ones he made, thanks to NRA and sporterizing articles of the 50's and 60's.
 
I am thinking, we really need a winner in this thread. I am going to randomly select a date and exact time to close this thread. Last poster at that time will be the true Winner of this thread. At that point I trust one of you will start a new Winner thread.
The random time and day will be somewhere between Aug 11th and Aug 16th. So get your posts in if you truly feel you are the winner. I will share the date and time with a mod, so as to ensure there are no favorites or finagling going on. The mod and myself will obviously not be eligible to win. Dang it. Have FUN!!!!!
