I should be planting. It snowed last night.
Were is the global warming the left is talking about?
Low 20's at night this week. And we are as dry as a "pop corn fart" as well...
Soil temps will fall this week. And we will sit and wait till it warms up..........

Regards, Kirk

This cold spell is affecting a lot of the Northern Hemisphere.
Europe is feeling this as well. Crop prices just keep climbing as the risks increase.
Just wait till around July or so when the politicized Climate Scientists start claiming 2021 the warmest on record....
Happens often... like every year.

It's out here on the west coast. Beautiful 80 degree spring weather for the last two days. Almost two full weeks of sunshine. Should revert to cold and wet this weekend though. :(

The lying Democrats will blame President Trump for the crop prices.
Yep, one hot day and Al Dork will say it's global warming again.

It's going to hit 90 here today with a 35 mph wind gusting to 45mph.
Not going to be a fun day planting. So dry here the dust makes visibility an issue.
Done with corn planting, stating soybeans today 15 miles South of the main farm.
Things always seem to break down while we are far away from the main shop...

Here is the drought monitor map for this week. Drought is expanding, and getting worse. The trend is now established, and for my area it looks like it could be a tough year on crops.
With prices doubling in the last 4 months, look out for inflation in the super markets. Especially if we suffer a short crop this year...

Finally meaningful rain!!

Over night 8 tenths of an inch up to 1.1" on one farm field.
I check this on computer now a days. We have a program that predicts rain fall by radar imagery.
Actually agrees with rain gauges most of the time anyway.

Finished planting the 2021 crop yesterday....

A good feeling, especially if would start to rain with regularity. In my State we need it..
