The BA-64Z was an experimental light armored vehicle developed in the Soviet Union between 1943 and 1944, adapted for snow travel. This design was developed as a variant of the proven BA-64 reconnaissance vehicle, replacing the wheel drive with a Nezhdanovsky-type half-track attraction system and a pair of skids/skids, with a steering function, on the front axle. A prototype was produced and tested, but its production was abandoned due to a lack of power, an inefficient steering system, and high fuel consumption.
