Since I've had surgery on both feet I'm sort of stuck on my rear end and have been spending a lot of time in front of the boob tube. There is a new show on the cable channel FX called The Riches.

Have any of you seen this show?

This show is funny, outrageous, bizarre and also a good drama. :thumb: Never seen anything like it. I highly recommend it. Thoughts?
 
If you like 'The Riches' be sure to check out Dirt. It's on tonight at 9pm on FX.
Warning: This show is for adults only. The majority of it is okay for all, but some weeks they put in scenes that stretch what I thought of as the 'R' rating.
Very entertaining even without the R rated stuff.
 
We wanted to see it, but we don't get FX.

We have been watching The Black Donnelys though, and even though it is on NBC, they have done a pretty good job.

We also watched Brotherhood last fall on Showtime, but it wasn't really that great. Perhaps season two will pick up the pace a little.

The premis is that there is a family of "Irish Travellers" or "Gypsies" that take over the life of a married couple who were killed in an auto accident. The married couple had just purchased a house and were re-locating to a new state, had never met the neighbors, etc. So this Gypsy family moves in and takes over their lives.

There are already plenty of sub-plots, like the Gypsy family is on the run from a large band of Gypsies. And the fact that the father of this family has never held a real job and now must figure out how to make enough of a living to maintain this house. Etc.

The acting is very good, while the premise is a big leap, there is certainly some basis for thruth in the "Traveller" groups and how they operate scams as they criss cross our nation.

Its well worth watching.
