They won't. Polls are showing the Dems are losing this stand off, and they are getting desperate. Even some liberal media are starting to turn on the Dems, because it's increasingly obvious that the problem would be most easily resolved by them just voting for the CR.

Its clear the democrats voted to shut down the government while the GOP tries to open it. The unions have turned against democrats. They have no valid reason to shut it down other then hold Americans hostage.
