Summer TV: Falling Skies

Anyone check this out yet? It airs Sundays on TNT @9/8, and is now up to it's 3rd episode. I mentioned the webcomic associated with the show here a few months ago. The buildup from that, as well as the fact that the social media marketing company I work for does some of the campaigning for the series for TNT, had me fairly impatient for it's debut a few weeks back.

I wasn't disapointed, it's been great these past few eps.

It just had it's 3rd episode, 'Prisoner of War' and the show is really coming into it's own.

Let's use this space on Forums Forums to discuss the series as it progresses ep to ep. So far I really like Collin Cunningham as John Pope, despite the fact that when the character was introduced, I though he was an Eddie Vedder clone

It's really cool that the series works with complex characters and intricate plotlines. I love Noah Wyle as Tom Mason. his kind of quirky attitude, which has him giving history lessons in the middle of the most stressful situations is pretty awesome.

Well anyway let's get the thread rolling. I don't think spoilers are a big deal, but if people prefer no spoilers we can go without.

Here is the show's website for those seeking more info:

An alien show - which will probably go the way of The Event. I'm not sure people are really all that interested in alien plots much any more. And I have watched both airings (2 hour premiere and 1 epi) and it looks like a War of the worlds rip off to me. JMHO

I'd like to see Noah do another Librarian movie.

its a doom and gloom, survival of the fittest plot, i'm a sifi junkie so it will be a full season before i decide if its any good, but i have a feeling it may go the way of Jerico which was a show that i realy enjoyed but it got canceled.

I also liked Jerico

I like Noah Wyle, and the concept has promise. However, the Content/Commercial ratio makes it hard to watch.

More "Librarian" would be great!
