If you really want to make a positive impression on a member of FF who disagrees with you:

1. State your view;
2. Back it up. Post a cite or link to a remotely factual website or article that supports what you say;
3. Do not take rebuttal personally;
4. Don't paint with too broad of a brush, e.g.: Republicans do this, or Democrats do that;
5. Exaggeration helps no one (and it's quickly debunked);
6. Fabrication (see #5);
7. Personal attacks are a fruitless attempt at persuasion;
8. If a question is asked of your view, answer it, per the above suggestions;
9. If you don't like these suggestions, bite me.

Admittedly, I've strayed from these suggestions, but from here on out, I will try my best to follow them. That said, I still reserve my right to exercise some sarcasm .....:w00t2:

Cheers, everyone!

According to JP's rules above, I will state that daedong IS cheeky:
I have seen and heard it in a video and read it here on FF.
While I have met a dozen or so Australians, I do not believe that cheekiness is one of their characteristics.
I do not wish to bite JP.

Well actually I'm in front, it's Tuesday evening here:yum:

So, if I understand you correctly Vin, even though you're behind, you are always in front and so everyone one else is behind you, and it just so happens that it's Tuesday.

Is this the case on other days of the week or is everyone always a behind to you because you are the number one behind?

:flowers:

(couldn't resist)

Number nine pretty much sums it up well. Then the disclaimer to ignore the rest, I like that.

Bonehead

Hey Bone I hope I am not the same as other Aussies. As a matter of fact if you knew me and my wife you would see the extremes.

Now just so you can be an expert on the issue here is something to broaden your knowledge

Clothing
The types of clothing that people wear reflect the diversity in Australian society and the variations in climate. There are no laws or rules on clothing, but Australians are expected to wear certain clothing in work situations—most workplaces have dress standards.

Outside the work situation, clothing is a personal choice—people dress for comfort, the social situation or the weather. Clubs, movie theatres and other places require people to dress in neat, clean clothes and wear appropriate footwear. Australia does not have an official national dress.
Most informative! Look who's being cheeky now!:hammer:

It's funny that you post this, Shep. I don't always agree with you, but at least you take the time to back up what you say with a cite or link. That's part of what makes the debate and discussion fun (at least for me).

Cheers!:clap:

Thank you, I appreciate that very much:flowers:

I also like your posts, you don't make them personal or insulting/condecending:thumb::thumb::thumb:

......now, don't go thinking I'm going to hold your hand or anything
