It comes out November 20th. Based on a true story I can't wait to see it. The previews on TV it looks good. Sandra does a good job I think in this movie

Yup that looks like a good movie.

I think Sandra Bullock is one of the better actresses out there in LaLa land. One thing I liked about her is that when New Orleans got hit by Katrina she donated $1,000,000. She didn't wait until it was over, she did it right away, as soon as money was needed by the rescue groups she gave them a check. She did the same thing when the twin towers of the World Trade Center came down, another million $$$ donation to help the efforts.

She is one of the few actresses who's politics I do not know, and would not hold against her if they were not the same as my beliefs.

I get Reader's Digest for reading in a particular room. A couple of years there was a really good story about this mild mannered but very big black guy in Memphis that a middle class white family sort of took in. They only proved to the big fella that he already had great gifts and he just needed to use them. If the story is even close to true, and RD generally checks out their stories, it should be a great movie. Best yet, Sandra reminds me of my wife. :smile: Except, of course, I'm not Jesse James. To be honest, after listening to him a bit, he's not exactly as I thought he'd be. He certainly has an adventurous side, but he is far from stupid.

The subject of the movie, Michael Oher, in his first year has started every game this year for the Ravens. He started at RG and due to injury went to LG for awhile. He's now back to RG.

Mrs. Dawg and I saw The Blind Side Saturday. Thumbs Up! It ain't long that a tear can break and then throughout. Sandra Bullock did a great job and frankly she's never looked so good.

+1, she plays a southern republican, pistol packing member of the the NRA .... :biggrin:
 
There was a story on 20/20 (I think it was 20/20) and they interviewed Michael Orr and the family. The story was great only wished it was longer and had more detail. I wanted to see the movie when it came out but just have not had the time.

I also think Michael is paying the family back big time on his own doings. The 20/20 show a couple of times show the family getting in private jets and sitting in Luxury Suites at the games.

Based on the movie, the family wasn't hurting from the get go.

Saw the movie, and the second half of the 20/20 show. The movie was very good. From what I read here and there, there were a few things in the movie and book that were'nt the way Michael said they really happened, but overall good.
 
Ok the cheap SOB that I am I finally watched it tonight. Daughter gave me 3 months of NetFlix for Christmas. Finally got around the other night to sign up. Blind Side is my first. Dang I can't remember the last time I watched a movie.

Sandra does one hell of a job in the movie. And yes she is still hot. Good Movie. Didn't like the one s.chool teacher and the investigator for the NCAA.
