It was hard to decide what color I should paint the machine. Red is nice but common.
Wanted something different and found a picture of the military 62 RN 69 and decided to paint my machine like that.
I don't think there is another Snow-Trac in Sweden with a military painting.

Now it's time for some black and white!

1. Engine, front end and the first black and white part mounted. It looks a little silly but then I had no time to paint the rusty parts on the engine.
2. Front fenders were full of dents so the easiest way to fix it was to replace them.
3. New and old front fenders.

I discovered that the windshield wiper motor not working. The fault was localized to the wiper motor and after taking it apart the fault could easily be established, it was full of rust.
This Bosch motor sat on the BMW 2000 C / CS 1965-1969, which is very unusual. Finding that spare part was almost impossible at reasonable prices but I got hold of a nearly identical motor from a BMW 2000, which is very common.
Now I could build up a functioning wiper motor from these two.

1. Rust
2. Rust
3. Old gear and new motor.
4. Almost the same.
5. A little soldering required.
6. It fitted, and it worked.

Odd the front fenders on my 62 St don't extend past the front grill nose as with this later big wheel machine. Hadn't noticed before. More changes were made than I thought when Aktiv bought out the production??

Nice work, love the snow camo....

Bestregards, Kirk

some thing looks different on that last snow trac like tthe cab is wider and maybe it used to be a snowmaster but now has cut down tracks

yhe track jack systenm also looks cool but i like the way snow tras says to do it i can break a track in less than 10 minuts if the bolts have good heads

You notice completely right =D
The roof is to protect from ice falling down from radiotowers.... the tracks are cut so the Snow-Master fits in the garage.

Beautiful job on the rebuild - it is going to be one sweet Snow-Trac when it hits the snow!

Also I love the track jack - I think I could build one of those...

I, too, liked the way you pulled the ends of the track together. I'm afraid some naughty words escaped my mouth when I tried to fasten mine together. I'll try to remember your method if I need to reassemble mine in the future.

1. Masking for painting.
2. Black and white painted, headlights and decals fitted. Thanks teledawg for the graphics templates.
3. Taillight and LED strobe light.

Just remember to fill the tank when you head out in the snow. Some folks have been known to run out.:whistling:

if you set the splice up between the front road wheel and bottom of the drive sproket remove the varriator belt you can usethe sproket and starter motor to pull the track tocether for you

1. White ...

3. ... black.
