Rand Paul spanks the monkey with $4 Trillion spending cuts

It has to be done.

Spending, even at 2008 levels, was out of control.

There is no moral way we can saddle our kids/grandkids/greatgrandkids with unsustainable levels of spending and massive amounts of debt. Its simply wrong to steal their futures to pad our lifestyles with a little more comfort.

When it comes to buying votes, the political elite knows no boundaries. Your progeny are the least of their concern.

The Paul's are an odd bunch but I like what they stand for when it comes to reducing government and spending.

But the beauty is that 4 years ago Ron Paul was shunned for essentially trying to deliver the same message that Rand Paul is currently delivering to large groups of supporters. In fact Rand is the keynote speaker in Iowa and has been featured as an "up & coming star" in GOP. The message is now resonating and that is good.

Odd bunch compared to what ? At least I think they listen and pay closer attention to what the people want and what is better for our country as a whole, Nope I dont think they have all the answers like I dont think they claim to either . BUT at least they realize theres a friggen problem . :hammer:

Oh Yea , sorry PB your right, after thinking about it for 2 seconds that is an odd bunch afterall .

I think the speaker in the article is Paul Ryan, not Rand Paul. Good points, though. The current bunch of idiots in DC seem to be settling on a budget cut of 33 billion. To put that in perspective, the Department of Education budget, which we got along without for 200 years, is 77.8 billion.

I will believe the current bunch are serious when they reduce the cost of running Congress by half. Something easily done. and probably more than 33 billion.
