I believe the j-5 uses a bombi tire but if the 4.50 by 16 doesn't we may talk

yes i know 4.50 x 16 is bombi size but someone told me he was using motorcycle tires but i did not get the size and now i cant recall who it was.thanks for any help

the bombi tires are smaller, the 450x16 were the same as the busses and those tires and tubes come from alpine guide tires. the 400 x100 tire that the snow trac uses is slightly narrower, than the alpine guide tire, but the alpine guide tire will work with the snow trac too

Maybe if you shoe horn it on the rim and change both. Side by side it is well over 4" taller.
Don, if you wanted it.It may be to late to toss it in your newer rig on the barge.

It's too bad I live in eastern Canada, (NL) as I need 4 more for my B12. I would have to pay more freight than what the tire is worth. The proper J5 tire is 4.50 X 16", 6 ply. It's a smooth tire. They are same as what go on the old bombardiers.
Here is part of an email from a friend of mine.

I think they were 4.75 x 16. The old size is 4.5 and is not available anymore only if you want the Bombardier ones, but they do not have any tread, so I got these from Coker Tire. They have a good website.
The 4.75 will fit your B 12 with no problem. I had to space out the bars on the B 7 so they would fit. They are just 1/4" wider but fit the cleats fine.

Alpine Guide tire makes the 4.50's I just picked up 3 new tubes he will ship usps for customers who's ups rates are too high. I found him to be good to work with
