Mantracker

Anyone else watch it? I started watching him a few months ago. Now, I just can't get enough of it.

He's a cowboy and a professional tracker who is called in by the search and rescue quite frequently to assist in searches.

The show is based on the following:

Mantracker and a local horseman team up to track down and capture a team of two prey. They have 36 hours to cover a set distance and cross the finish line.(usually around 40km's) The prey have a map and compass and whatever else they chose to carry. Mantracker has neither he doesn't even know what the prey look like or which way they are heading. They start 2km's apart from each other. A flare is fired into the air to signal the start of the hunt. Remember, Mantracker does not know who his prey are or what direction they are heading. It's a great show. They do this in all parts of Canada.

I watched a bunch of episodes a month or so ago. It is pretty cool.

Of course, they always edit the shows to make it seem closer than it really is.

All in all, I give it two thumbs up! :thumb: :thumb:

I'd like to give it a try. Anyone know what channel it's on on Direct TV?

I've watched it a few times on Direct TV but I can't remember what station. It's a pretty enjoyable show.

Doc, I'm not too familiar with Direct Tv. Is there a search option somewhere in your menu? You could try to find it that way.

been watching recently (yes, it's on DirectTv) and apparently this is the 3rd season we're seeing now...

it gets frsutrating watching people making mistakes (like the lady who kept talking non-stop, and MT heard her) and those that run down a road...

how does the camera crew and sound people NOT interfere with the chase?

I was kinda wondering the same thing about the camera crew. My wife keeps bugging me to apply to get on there. I know what kind of work it is to trek through the woods like that having done it many times in the past.(only I was usually carrying a canoe on my shoulders and pack on my back. It's not easy going slow through the thick bush let alone trying to outrun a horse.

most of the filming is done with those hand held cameras and trail cams...i read somewhere about the filming..the one who has the camera crew is mantracker himself... i could be wrong and that has been know to happen all the time..lol
