Killing frost and some wet snow tonight.

Gone But Not Forgotten
Pretty well going to kill things tonight. Have a frost warning and calling for wet snow in the higher elevations. We have most stuff already in but will dig out some of the flowers she wants to save. The leaves are really gone off a lot of the trees and my lane is totally yellow and orange with leaves that have fallen the past few days. At the same time there are still a few trees that are green that will get hit tonight. Between wind and rain they should be almost bare in the next week. Leaf peepers and bowhunters were everywhere yesterday.

We hit 24 yesterday morning and 23 this morning. I would have to say that it's all over for plants and hopefully some bugs as well. Leaves are really starting to fall fast too. We had quite a wind when the temps dropped Thursday morning. Days are getting shorter pretty fast this time of year.

Regards, Kirk

Eighty five today, getting down to 70 tonite. Finally time to open the windows and let the cool sea breeze back in. Suckers.

Cloudy, cool and damp here today. It rained this evening. Temp got up to 61 and supposed to be 42 by morning. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and 65 and then it warms back up to the high 70's and low 80's for the rest of the week. I hope it does. I've got so much to do this coming week.

Kane,

You never liked an Iowa winter growing up here?

Were you fun to play with back then?

You have WAY too many people there than here, every day is the same, or nearly so. To damn hot in the summer for me... We have season's so you are aware what time of year it is. No vagrents either here, too cold in winter for freeloaders. To many koolaid drinkers in your area for me too. Over priced real estate and a state that is broke...you can have that too

SO who really is the sucker here???:flowers:

Regards, Kirk
