Nixon and LilNixon that is..
I spoke with John and 'Lonzo this afternoon.
Looks like the dachshund in the family (the beautiful Mona) :wub:.. might be reaching the end of her days.
She's 14 years old and served the family well as companion, canine daughter and an e-friend for my Gretchen :flowers:

Just keep them all in mind, because I know many of us are pet owners and lovers of animals.

I am sure they will keep us posted.
 
I just got off the phone with Nixon. Mona seems to be doing much better, eating well and eyes are bright. The major problem right now is she has gotten used to being carried around and he thinks she's milking this for all it's worth!

He ask me to thank those who have expressed concern and tell those who didn't to kiss off. Actually, I added the kiss off phrase but I'm certain he would have said it if he thought of it:whistling:

We want to thank you for all your well wishes and prayers. It is very difficult to watch her health fail and know that we are not going to have her around forever. It seems like she has always been with us, she is such a big part of our family. If I had my wish she would be here for many years to come.

Merry Christmas to all of our FF Family.

Its amazing ! The kids move out and the dogs or cats seem to move in . They become one of the kids before long .

I spent a lot of time loving my "No-Good" old English Springer who always wants to bite my ass . I'd like to shoot him about half the time but God help the poor SOB that ever treats him bad .go figure ..........

Mona slipped away from Us about 15 minutes ago ,at 130 AM .
She'll be missed more than I could ever hope to express . She gave Us a wonderful 14 years . And, while I'm deeply saddened by Her passing ,I'm glad She brightened Our Household ,and is no longer suffering .

I know how difficult the last week has been for you.
It's never easy to say good bye to those little bundles of love whom we call pet, but feel like they are our children in every way.
Rest now precious Mona, we sure did love you little girl.

John, I'm so sorry. I simply can't type what's in my heart right now but you, Jan and Tina are in my mind. She was a cute little dog who, like wiener dogs everywhere, worked her way into your hearts and lives. She won't be forgotten. I'll call you later.

Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers and support. I really don't know what to say. Mona was such a big part of our lives, for such a little dog. She was the Queen of the house. I would tease John and say that he loved her more than me. I know that she is in Heaven with her bud Harley seeing which one is able to get the ball first.

I am so sorry mom and dad. I miss her terribly. I wish I could have been there. But we all know that she is no longer suffering. I love you guys, and I miss you. I am sorry, I know it is breaking all of our hearts. She will truly be missed.
