John Deere Auto Hitch

Here is a bit of information on the iMatch AutoHitch.

Has anyone tried this or even heard of this tool? Looks like it's designed to help people become lazier yet.:thumb: In the short video, an operator backs into and hitches to a rotary cutter, demonstrates that it is in fact completely attached by operating the PTO, then removes the cutter and hitches to a tiller and demonstrates it, then unhitches that - in less than one minute!
(Come on,:poke: Bob, you know you want it!)

Looks like hammers, jacks, and prybars for hitching up:beatdeadhorse5: implements will become a fond memory....
unlesss you're too cheap:yum: to get all compatible stuff.

Along with an air conditioned cab and dual cup holders for our beer and soda there is no help for our ever expanding waistlines.

I want it!:applause:

I'd like to see them make something where you don't even need to slow down to get hitched...:thumb:

Just saw one last week. Didn't look like it would work with PHD. Probably the biggest PITA to attach alone. Other than that it looked nice.

Of course not. The PHD IS the hardest thing to attach. It is definately a handful unless you have it suspended on a chain or something.
That's why I like those with a skid steer or mini excavator rather than a tractor, plus you have downpressure.:thumb:

That is the biggest reason I went with the Pat's easy change system. I think it was Bob Skurka that mentioned that it played a big part in choosing his quick attach from Pat's. It made the PHD much easier! Only takes me about 3 hours now:yum:

I looked at a bunch of different hitch systems and rico304 is correct that I chose the Pat's system simply because of the Post Hole Digger.

Most quick hitch systems will work with most implements that are "standard" size. However they will not work with a PHD or with non-standard sized "a" frame assemblies. So anyone who uses a PHD on a regular basis, or who has non-standardized implements will find that Pat's Easy Change is really their best choice since it only connects the lower links automatically.

As for rico's inability to speedily connect the PHD, I think he got dropped on his head as a child. :poke: With the Pat's Easy Change it takes a few minutes to attach a PHD, a little muscle, and some balance too. But it is far easier than attaching a PHD without a Pat's system.

Rico, for serious post hole digging this is what you need! Its the PowerTrac 422 that we used when we were using when we put in new landscaping in the dog's yard. The guy who owns it has a shop a few miles from my house and he modified the hydraulics so it can spin the bit either direction. The hydraulic plumbing looks ugly on this thing, but it sure is effective!

That does look like a sweet setup, if not a bit unconventional. haha
Thanks for the "dropped on head" comment. I was worried it might have been all those lead based paint chips on my crib!:)

ON a serious note, I'm very happy that I read your reviews before buying. I would have ended up with a quick attach that doesn't accept my PHD. I have used it often this year. I'm not so sure how I would have done it without this system. It actually makes it fairly easy...........even for me!
Being able to reverse the auger would be awesome!
