Actually that is not an EQUIVALENT question to Charlie Kirk.

Hillary was a politician, she was not only Secretary of State, but was also a US Senator.
Obama was a politician, she was a Senator and then also a President
Both had the majority of the media and infrastructure of the government and society supporting them.

Charlie Kirk was never elected to anything.
The media generally opposed and mischaracterized him.
The Biden FBI was weaponized against him & Turning Point.
Charlie Kirk made his living giving speeches and organizing events. He was, a glorified entertainer with a focus on social and political issues and he built a fund raising organization around him to support others who felt as he did. And he was spectacularly successful at getting engagement and support.

So I'd have to ask, can we use a different example?

Is there anyone on the left we can look to as a hypothetical victim that would equate to Charlie Kirk?

I will point over toward England. . . They have Tommy Robinson, the often times jailed pro UK, anti-islamist rabble rouser who has created a revolution of sorts over there. If not for Tommy Robinson, I would suggest, and I think rightfully so, Nigel Farage and the entire REFORM Party in the UK would not exist as anything other than a decimal point. Tommy Robinson is a parallel to Charlie Kirk, Nigel Farage is pale comparison but parallel to President Trump.

I'm seeing this posted by people. What I don't understand is what makes people think of either-or. Or if-this-then-that. Or makes things into "what-aboutisms"

Nobody outside of Minnesota knew of Congresswoman Hortmann before her murder, in fact many people STILL don't know who she was or even heard of her murder. Pretty much everyone I know was shocked when the pro-HAMAS jew hater tried to kill Gov Shapiro and his family, in fact I only saw support for brining the arsonist to justice. The Paul Pelosi attack was not, to most people, a political act of violence so I don't even know why it is included in this list. And many people who voted for Trump found J6 protesters abhorrent.

MEMES like this help divide people, and lack common sense. Don't fall for them. This is absurd and mockery.

And it seems to be PHASE 2 of superficial leftists trying to minimize the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Phase 1 was to repeat Charlie quotes out of context, cite misquotes, and straightforward lie about what he said to attempt to justify his murder (the HE DESERVED IT phase).

Phase 2 is to both present examples that in no way equate with the situation and circumstances of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, and to present other examples that everyone would agree were reprehensible - and then wrongly imply that conservative-leaning folks didn’t.
