How do you carry long handled tools?

The title of the thread says it all, but when you are on your tractor, how do you carry your long handled tools?

Shovels and such with short handles fit pretty well in the loader bucket. I've layed long handled tools across the top of the bucket against the loader arms but I've had them bounce off.

I've thought about mounting a shotgun rack on the ROPS but never done it.

Any thoughts?

Agri-Fab Heavy Duty Dump Cart

We got ours from Farm & Fleet, and it is truly indespensable for hauling around "crap" (literally :yum:)

Well, I sure hope it's a magnetic shotgun rack. I'm sure nobody here would ever dream of drilling into the ROPS  .

I like to keep some good bungee cords on the backside of the bucket for attaching or holding shovels or other items in the bucket or too the bucket as necessary. They seem to stay in place fairly good and are there when you need them. Have even bungee corded tools to top of bucket and still used the bucket carefully for other work at the same time.

We have an old golf bag on our golf cart that my wife uses when gardening or doing yard work.
When using the tractor I'll put tools, etc into the FEL bucket (6' wide) unless I intend to use the FEL, in which case I put them across the boxblade for transport. Rippers on the BB are inserted into the slots upside down until I need them, and they keep shovels, rakes, etc from falling off toward the front. Bracing framework from the hitch holds them from falling to the back.

I usually lay them in the bucket.. I generally don't drive fast enough to have stuff bounce. However.. i have bunjied things to rops or loader arms.. I saw a guy use an old golf bag for shovels and rakes.. If I had an old golf bag.. i might try it..

edit: i guess I shoulda read to the bottom before posting the golf bag idea...
