The peppers in my garden are so friggen hot I can't eat them. Never seen peppers like these. I eat the hottest wings, the hottest of anything, but not these puppies! No idea of what to do with em, any suggestions???
No, the package faded long ago. But they are BIG! My guess is about 8" long. The meat of the pepper isn't so hot but the seeds are unbelievable!Do you know the name of them? How big are they?
Actually Leni, I don't do much with hot peppers. I buy the seeds in a jar to sprinkle on my pizza but I've never grown any hot peppers before, this is a first for me.Then I would split them open and remove the seeds. After that do whatever you usually do with peppers.
You said that the pepper itself was not that hot. I was thinking along the line of chili rellenos or a chili verdi. You could also put one or two of them in a pot of chili. I have peppers that are barely 1/2 inch long. Only my Nigerian friend can eat those.
Grow a pair and eat them anyway![]()

We grow what look like those and purchase the plants which are labeled "Hot Banana Pepper".
Ours get so hot you can't eat any of it. A piece the size of a pea will really burn.
We remove the seeds then liquify them in a blender until it's the consistency of a milkshake. We then pour into sandwich size ziplock bags until it's about 1/3 - 1/2 full. Enough so when the air is removed and the bag is placed flat it's about 1/2" thick.
We then freeze. When we want to add to something like a sauce, we pull out the bag and while still froze, you bend it to break off a piece. We then open the bag, grab that piece and add to whatever we're cooking.
