For those of us who embrace the 2nd Amendment today is a sad day.
Gaston Glock, designer of the amazing Glock Pistol has died.
And while I am not a huge fan of the gun, I have to admit that when I decided to change things up and go for lighter weight carry pistols, I ditched my beloved 1911 all steel workhorses and switched to a Glock 19 and ultimately a Glock 26. I still think they are bulky, I still criticize the grip angle, but darn it if they don't go BANG every single time I pull the trigger no matter what they are loaded with and no matter how dirty they get. I have them, I use them, and I appreciate them. Ugly to look at but comforting to own. That said, my latest carry gun is a Springfield Hellcat, smaller lighter, easier to carry and also goes bang. But it's not a house gun, and I'd grab for a larger higher capacity Glock over the tiny SA Hellcat in any gunfight. So all that said, sad passing today for the gun world.
