Firestone Destination A/T

Had to get new front tires on the F150 chariot this week. Called around to a couple places for pricing and availability. The local Firestone dealer recommended a pair of Destination A/T. They are a slightly more aggressive tread than an OEM equivalent tire (which is usually a good thing). The price was about average ($320 for two tires and an alignment), so I went ahead and had them put on.

Wow. VERY NICE TIRES! They have a fantastic highway ride and are waaaay quieter than the tires the Ford dealer put on last time.

Before winter, I will definitely be putting another pair on the truck, these are really nice tires.

Here's a good article about them:

Dave,
After serious research, I put the Destination AT's on my F150. I have Destination LE's on the wife's Explorer. So far we are extremely happy.

Do they work on GMC trucks since I see ya'll are putting them on Fords?

Thanks for the heads-up. I could use some new tires before winter.

Good to know. I'll be needing a new set for the old F150 before the winter. I have used Goodyears or Coopers on everything after having problems with Firestones back in the late 80's.

for the kind of driving you all do the bf goodrich comercial ta and lt tires would also work good excelent in snow they work good on gravel and asphalt roads they are ok off the road but not like a mud tire they don't howel like one and wear longer too.
