End Lifetime salary for Congressmen & women

Most folks who make it to the US congress are not poor, yet once they serve in the congress they will receive their congressional salary for the rest of their life. Serve one term and be paid the rest of your life. What a deal. Since they vote for their own pay raises I presume they also voted this into law. Outrageous.

Wouldn't we all like jobs like that. Power and guarenteed cash ... even if you are caught doing unmentinables in the mens restroom.

How can we the people take this kind of extended benefit away from all congressmen (& women)? I sure would like it if we could also vote on whether or not to give them a pay raise.

Is there anyone who thinks they deserve this benny?
 
On of our new Congressman that just beat out a long time one used the campaign that long time congressman voted 3 times for a pay raise but would not vote for a raise for the military?? Now that the new congressman is in there I be if I asked him to vote for a pay cut he would say "Not".
 
What about the mega health care benefits that congress gets? Yup, that's a lifetime benefit, too.

Wanna save some tax dollars? Why does Amy Carter still have lifetime secret service protection????
