I was thinking about getting a 1993 V6 Camry. If I do I really want this baby to shine! Alas, I dont know what to do to make it so.
Sure, I could get new plugs and plug wires... I can do anything with a lot of dough. But what about the oil and trans stuff? Should I add that additive stuff? Will it destroy my gaskets?!?! I want her hummin on the inside. I have the other stuff covered. But Im just wondering about the fluids.
Im just REALLY confused here folks. What should I do?

I would not use any additives unless you have a particular issue you are trying to solve.
To extend engine life you should consider switching to a good synthetic oil. I like mobile 1. I have a 93 chevy 1/2 ton that I switched to synthetic at 180k miles. It has done fine since the change. With so many miles on it I'm not sure it will extend the engine life much (cause it runs cooler) but it extends my oil change interval, and I like that. By extending the oil change interval from 3k to 7k miles it off sets the additional costs of using synthetic.
Do you know when the timing belt was last changed on the Camry? It very well could be time to change that. Maybe pay for an inspection by a toyota dealership. They will tell you what should be done on the car to keep it running best.

Why do you need another car? Are you going to be getting rid of the one you presently are driving and paying for? If I were in your position, I would buy the cheapest beat up rat that I could find, so when you get caught by the Chicago Police during one of there stings where they have a lady cop playing prostitute, and impound the John's car, you will have not much to loose. Just remember, don't ask for any kinky sex, because that is guaranteed to get you on television....
