Very nice. That is a virtually unknown brand here in the USA.

Old tractor guys know of it, but very few actually exist here. I think it was popular in England? Case is very common here, which, if I remember correctly, would be the company that bought David Brown. Case here became Case/IH. Eventually it became Case/New Holland.

Thank you,

I have seen few David Brown tractors in machines dealers webpages U.S but David Brown not make those big tractors what U.S farmers need.

Here in Europe and Scandinavia David Brown was very popular tractor brand.

Yes, Tenneco/Case buy David Brown and also in 1987 they close up David Brown factory..

David Brown tractors were sold here in the States in the 60's from those I have saw here.. And your right of course that Case acquired David Brown later.

Interestingly, Fiat Industrial now owns the Case/IH. New Holland is not part of this company.

Nice job of restoring Metsaman. I am sure you will put it to good use as well.

Regards, Kirk

Sure it is. New Holland is part of Case/IH and all are owned by Fiat under CNH Industrial. Unless things have very recently changed because its all still listed on their website.

CNH Industrial offers a full range of agricultural equipment under the New Holland Agriculture and Case IH brands and, in Europe, under the Steyr brand.

I hate those "cross ownership's"... You really not can understand what or how owns something... and of course they sell same tractor to different brand names... messy .. :ermm:

But they paint New Holland tractors blue and Case tractors are painted red :yum:
