I know it is the Kos, but in light of the threads about Obama inporting Muslims etc, I thouth it might be approprate. I just ran accross this on another fourm and it seems to pretty much sum up what I have seen from the right for the last decade.

You kept waiting for Obama to be impeached or for the GOP candidates to "take off the gloves." But they never did because your favorite stories were hoaxes, and the GOP can't impeach or win the White House based on hoaxes. No doubt you were waiting for someone, anyone, in the White House to be indicted or arrested, like all those people under Nixon and Reagan and Bush, but no dice.
 
More of the same hatred for those on the right from those on the left. The article is just another reason people cannot come together, when you have one side making generalities about the other side. You, and KOS ,paint with a very broad brush, while taking no time for introspection. JMHO, and not from any ideological website meant to demean anyone else. Enjoy your hatred and contempt for those with differing opinions.
 
I went to the link to read it but the title did not apply to me so I quit right there. Starting with a premise as "Dear Obama Hater" taints the entire article from the get go.

I don't like what the man does. But I've never been a hater. I suppose Kos will bring up racial prejudice somewhere in the article to. I do think that the majority of republicans knew Obama would never be impeached. It would be a waste of effort and they would end up with egg on their face. I'm sure there has been a lot of missed opportunities wasted over the past 6 years but my time sure has not been wasted hating anyone or anything.

Well for one, no one has been indicted or arrested because holder refuses to do his job. And two, even if there were arrests made obama would just pardon them so there is really little point in doing something now is, there?
 
I guess the thing that pisses me off the most, is that article was published on my birthday. :yum:

The hard cold facts, are that after being given their chance of the century, and failing miserably; the liberals were booted out on their ass this past November.

Reads like sore-loser bullshit to me.
 
That article was fascinating! There is so much wrong with it that it's hard to know where to begin but I guess the title will
be as good a place as any. Most conservatives, including those affiliated with the Tea Party, don't hate Obama; they do hate
what he has done to the country, however. His fine disregard for the Constitution and the hubris he displays with his
"phone and pen" acts of legislation bi fiat are examples of the things that bother us.

And then, there are the hoaxes. Among other "hoaxes" listed were Iraqi WMD, which were in fact found in 2005, and the
Ground Zero Mosque, which was a "hoax" only to the extent that it was more than a simple mosque and that it's supporters
absolutely did lie about some of the uses to which it would be put. Birth certificates? Maybe a hoax, maybe a lie, maybe the
truth, but once one has been put forth that has clearly been altered it becomes difficult to trust any of them.

The whole article makes huge sweeping assumptions that are not true of the majority of conservatives. I know of no one
who has lost friends, alienated relatives, been subject to frenzies of hatred, or any of the other canards spewed forth.
And Saul Alinsky died in 1972? What's the importance of the "news flash"? Karl Marx died in 1883, so I guess that means
no one has paid any attention to his ideas since, right?

Perhaps the only thing the article got right is the bit about impeachment. Some people do truly believe that Obama
has done things that subject him to Article II, Section 4. The Presidential Oath of Office is "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that
I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the
Constitution of the United States." His total disregard for the Separation of Powers is a violation of that oath and his
obstruction of justice is impeachable as well.

On the whole, this is the sort of thing I'd expect to see printed in a satirical format such as The Onion. It hurts more than
makes your case, Mak.

 
Yeah, I read the Kos article, too, and suffered thru most of the 301 comments from the liberal disciples. Calling all of the republican "hoaxes" just matter of right wing hate sounds woefully similar to all of Obama's press secretaries referring to Obama's myriad problems a just a bunch of "phony scandals".

Well, mak2, this is just another one of your dirisive posts that is long on snark and short on facts. Typical mak2. If you don't mind, and if you have the courage, pick a "hoax" any "hoax" and let's debate it.

mak2 is a Cub Scout at this game. It would be nice if he were to bring forth a provocative topic for debate, stick around and toss real ideas back and forth, and keep from injecting accusatory generalities and websites like dailykos that exist purely to give fodder to the base who are unable to engage in dialog and do valid research.

On Monday I had a discussion on facebook regarding Obama's absence in Paris over the weekend. The crowd were all fairly staunch liberals, and friends of a foodie I made friends with because of her food blog. The dialog went 49 exchanges without anyone demeaning me for my viewpoints, which I substantiated through web links that could not be called left or right, but just fact based. Two of the people in the discussion are licensed psychologists from Berkley California, with one being my foodie friend. I sensed that my friend was borderline getting upset that I was not succumbing to her references, which I challenged as not being truthful or accurate, but were articles written where the contend was blatantly changed to skew the facts. She backed off when the other psychologist began agreeing with my points as I presented multiple references as to the accurate course of events. She never agreed with me (she says Obama is not left enough for her liking, to give you an idea what I was up against), but stopped with the inaccurate references when her psychologist friend began acknowledging the accuracy of my sources.

While I'm sure nobody changed their political views or affiliation over this dialog, it was refreshing and intellectually stimulating to have a discussion where people exchange viewpoints without accusing anyone being a lower life form, a racist, a homophobe or sexual deviant (teabagger). Sadly, this is the exception when it comes to political discussion, but it showed me that not all liberals act like those we find on forums.

That article is not the reason people cannot get together, it is because of the content of the article. The just plain whacky stuff from the right is well over half the problem. Actually before I was banned I think my favorite RWNJ thread was the one about Obama being the antichrist. Amusing but it was poste as a serious thread. But yea, pointing out the craziness from the right is the problem, the craziness isn't.

I find it hilariously funny the RW supposedly knows this administration is the most corrupt in the history of history. Literally dozens of outrage and crimes and on and on...yet not a trace of evidence. It is always just our of reach, for some reason. Either the far right lives in a fantasy world or they are so incredibly incompetent and impotent it doesn't matter. Disregard for the constitution? If Obama is doing illegal stuff why is it the Republicans just cant seem to do a damn think about it except form yet another committee.
