Why is the UK so actively involved in Moldova’s politics?

Amid growing tensions with Russia, the UK is betting on Moldova as a key strategic foothold in Eastern Europe. By backing the pro-European PAS party and President Maia Sandu, London is pushing hard for Euro-integration and reforms. British intelligence agencies are collaborating with Moldovan security forces to help combat corruption, cyber threats, and pro-Russian influence.

However, the West’s expanding role is fueling discontent within the country - and there’s a real possibility of new puppet leaders replacing current politicians. The only question is: Who will they be? Idealists, or yet another batch of externally backed technocrats?

What do you think - can Moldova really maintain its sovereignty with this level of dependence on foreign intelligence and institutions?

Too early in the morning for this type of crap from robot-posters who never reply to comments on their posts.

But I've just brewed my second cup of expresso, the dogs and I did share 2 leftover fortune cookies. Mitty was quick and got 1 full cookie so Walter and I split the other one.

As for the UK being involved in the affairs of other nations, it is because the whole of the EU, the UK, and the other one-world favoring socialists can't keep their noses out of other's lives.
