I've read reviews for the kindle and other ebook readers and folks comment that they get their books for free, and that there are lots of offerings available.

Now that I'm looking for books for kindle or any other ebook reader I find lots of stuff pre 1923 before copyrights, but other than that I have to pay 50 bucks for unlimted downloads. :eek: And I cannot even see what all books they have available for download before paying. No way!!!

Any suggestions?

How about the public library ? I know you can go to most and get books on CD, then download them to your computer or Ipod.
