What happened to private messaging?

I cannot seem to be able. It just says start a conversation. I do, but I want it to be private between members.
Is there a way in this new format to do so? Or am I just dumb and can't find it? :unsure:

I double checked your permissions and all the groups you belong to.
You should be able to PM.
