We need the protests to start when the laws are PROPOSED not after they are ENACTED.

As an urban/suburban kid who bought rural land 30+ years ago my eyes opened up to the struggle of farmers, the reality of wildlife crop destruction, etc etc etc pretty quickly. But the urban dwellers don't get it. They don't understand. I've had decades of alternating corn and soybeans on my property but I've never farmed it, a real farmer does that. Just talking to them after a few harvests taught me more than I had ever learned in school.
