Trudeau Resigning??

Have read a couple articles this evening expecting Trudeau to resign, possibly as early as tomorrow. I’m not sure what to think, I have my doubts about him doing this, but possibly. With him gone, Freeland will be the likely shoe in, and she’s as bad or worse. No matter who is leading the Liberals, they are so despised that they will be lucky to have enough seats left to keep party status. Another problem is it looks like the Bloc party would become the opposition, nothing better for a country than a separatist party as the official opposition. No matter what happens, Canada is in for a bumpy road. The Conservatives need a MASSIVE majority, but after the mess we’ve been left with, there’s no way a party can come in and clean it up without making some very unpopular decisions.

My bets are he will parrogue parliament, buying him time, try and find a more popular replacement than Freeland and try getting back in with a minority again next election. But I don’t think that will work. We have a really messy septic system up here that needs cleaned out and some serious scrubbing with bleach to get back on track.

The first thing that the next government does is make a law banning any statue or memorial depicting this scumbag dictator.

OTTAWA, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is increasingly likely to announce he intends to step down, though he has not made a final decision, a source familiar with Trudeau's thinking said on Sunday...

...Trudeau's departure would leave the party without a permanent head at a time when polls show the Liberals will badly lose to the official opposition Conservatives in an election that must be held by late October...

Buh bye, Justin Fidel.

One can only wish......I'll believe it when I see it.
More media reports this morning out of Ottawa saying the young dictator will be resigning soon.

Apparently, and I do not even pretend to understand Canadian law, new elections would be required by October of this year. Not sure how a coalition government runs without a leader for 9-ish months.

Then again, the US has not actually had a real leader for the past 3.9 years so who am I to judge?

Good riddance. 👍 The self righteous bastard just enjoyed an all expense paid ski vacation in BC last weekend on our dime. One last hoorah on the way out the 🚪. I hope it hits him in the ass.
Unfortunately with Parliament prorogued until the end of march he will be staying on as leader until then ,when his replacement should be chosen by the liberal party . So there should be a few more vacations /planes rides he can go on in the mean time.....
