Link: Toronto police encourage people to leave keys for thieves to steal cars
It’s been a year or two since Canadian PM Justin Castro laid down the law: “You can’t use a gun for self-protection in Canada. It’s not a right that you have.” In the interim, car theft has skyrocketed in Canada. Toronto Police have issued a directive to ameliorate interactions between criminals & their victims:
...“To prevent the possibility of being attacked in your home, leave your fobs at your front door because they’re breaking into your home tosteal your car. They don’t want anything else,” Toronto Police Service Constable Marco Ricciardi said to residents at a recent community safety meeting in Etobicoke.
He added, “A lot that we’re arresting have guns on them, and they’re not toy guns. They’re real guns. They’re loaded.”...
Marco makes an excellent point: douchebags are unlikely to break into homes they know are occupied by homeowners who might blow them away. Since Fidel & Co won’t let that happen, the solution is obvious: when you’re confronted by an armed aggressor...
