Top US movie: THE SOUND OF FREEDOM (opposes child sex slavery so the media buried the headlines!)

Interesting story. Disney owned the rights to this movie and decided NOT to release it. It was made in 2018 and sitting in limbo. Christian streaming service ANGEL TV purchased the rights to the movie and released it over the July 4th week.e

SOUND OF FREEDOM is based on the true story of a guy who rescued hundreds of sex slave children being sold/resold to pedophiles around the globe. The story is based on the true life story of a Christian CIA agent, who ended up quitting his government job to go rogue and start a foundation to rescue sex slave children.

It was a limited showing, to put it into perspective, INDIANA JONES final crusade was released the same weekend, and Indiana Jones was playing at over 2000+ theaters more than THE SOUND OF FREEDOM. Anyone want to guess which movie got more viewers & revenues?

The media, if they cover the movie, tend to claim it is a right wing conspiracy movie, tied to Qanon. I give WGN9 TV movie reviewer Dean Reynolds credit, he gave it a B+ and recommended people see the movie. But Rolling Stone, Bloomberg, NY TIMES and other pretty much slam the movie as crap. Despite that, it has earned over $100,000,000 in box office sales and is the #1 movie in the nation today ... despite the fact that most theatres are NOT showing it and most Americans are still unaware of it. It literally outsold MISSION IMPOSSIBLE in the 2nd week, and has outsold every week of INDIANA JONES.

Tough movie to watch. It is about child abuse. Stars Jim Caviezel and oscrar winner Mira Sorvino. So no lightweights in the cast. Still most people have never heard of the movie. Because the left wing media is burying the story. So the Number 1 movie, for the past couple of weeks, is basically unknown and only spreading by word of mouth.

You can watch the trailer here.

Pretty shocking that Rolling Stone totally trashed this movie and claimed it is a Q-Anon related conspiracy theory movie. Bloomberg pretty much trashed the move. As did The Guardian.

Go see it. Decide for yourself. Again, this is the #1 movie in the USA and it is being destroyed by most of the media outlets, it is not widely distributed. The move was buried for several years by the Disney corporation until the rights were finally sold to a small Christian company. Many of the Epstein pedophile defenders are trashing the film. You actually have to search to find where you can pay to see it. I think the back story says a lot about how important the move really is. Again, true story, go watch, decide for yourself.

My review
It was a great documentary on current day slave trade, great videography, not a great movie overall,

I haven’t been to a movie theater in decades and drought I’ll be back in decades!

They had nice wide seats (great for us big guys and gals) but being old and having trifocals the reclining position of the seats made watching it a neck busting tipping my head forward to see the screen through my upper lens for distance.
I finally slipped my glasses off to get the big picture.
I couldn’t find the ejection button to get me out of the reclined position and had to give my wife a lift to get her out of the seat.

The movie, which is only in LIMITED RELEASE and playing on only selected theatre screens, is still turning in big numbers. Apparently people are willing tor travel miles just to watch this truth based movie.

‘Sound of Freedom’ Is out-Grossing ‘Mission: Impossible’

After three weekends in release, Sound of Freedom out-grossed Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’s second weekend in release: $20.1 million compared to $19.5 million.
Even more incredible is the fact Sound of Freedom accomplished that in more than a thousand fewer theaters: 3,285 compared to 4,321.
Sound of Freedom’s per-screen average clocked in at $6,131 to Dead Reckoning’s$4,512.
. . .
Obviously, and for good reason, all this weekend’s box office news revolves around Barbie’s stunning $155 million opening and Oppenheimer’s equally stunning (for an R-rated, three-hour drama) $80.5 million opening. After a brutal year, Hollywood is finally enjoying a decent weekend. But the real news is this…
If these trends continue, Sound of Freedom is set to close the summer by out-grossing both Dead Reckoning and Indiana Jones . . .

The local theater was carrying that movie but the theater got destroyed in the flooding up here so we never got to see it.
