Tom Brockaw Meet The Press

Gone But Not Forgotten
Well Tom tried to trip Tim Pawlenty and failed in regards to Sarah Palin. But he now has others that are working right along with him. They are doing anything they can to make her look bad.

It just seems the Experience factor is the only thing the Dems can come up with, but Tim did stop Tom on that in that Sarah had more experience than Barack.

On FACE THE NATION (CBS news) they are grilling Senator Joe Lieberman about choosing Sarah Palin . . . and Lieberman, a member of the Senate Democratic Caucus, is defending McCain. He said that by selecting Palin, McCain has opened the door and let in fresh air. Lieberman said that McCain is more ready to lead the nation than Obama, is talking as if there are now party lines, and he is really talking up not only McCain for making such a great, 'refreshing' choice that is really an agent of 'change' but also talking up Palin for her EXPERIENCE in challenging the status quo and beating it.

Just prior to the Liberman interview was an interview with Rudi Gulliani. Rudi pretty much trashed Obama, he was a partisan attack dog, did a good job of it, but really towed the GOP party line. It was obvious he was following the 'talking points' set out by the campaign. I tuned into the show after the interview with Rudi had already started so I don't know who was being interviewed prior to Rudi.

Now they are interviewing a woman at the GOP convention and grilling her about the 'abortion' issue. She answered very well saying that the Democratic party has held women hostage over that issue but when women are polled on the issues, only 3% of them say that Abortion is the 'most important' issue while over 70% say the most important issues are the economy or energy. When asked if Sarah Palin was the 'most' qualified woman, she answered that Palin is a 'wonderful' choice with a host of new qualifications.

David Brooks, of the New York Times, is being interviewed now. He says that some people are team players, others are lone flyers. He said that McCain is a lone flyer and that this is a very risky choice. He said that McCain didn't want to be the old guy running against the young guy. He said that by picking Palin he has done a lot to neutralized that argument.
