TMJ caused by working with weights?

I was trying to get my arms all toned up for summer by using some weights, but it seems to have aggravated my TMJ that I haven't had problems with for about 7 years. I stopped using them last week and now the TMJ doesn't hurt anymore, so I guess I'll have flabby arms for the rest of my life.

Anyone else experience a similar type of problem?

Are you clinching your jaw when you workout. Make the weights lighter. Do 3 sets of 15 reps when you cant do 16.
