It is a B or C model, looks like an OC12 out back. 300 CID industrial Ford straight six. C6 Ford auto Trans. Late 1960's early 70's production, maybe. I see it says on the shifter it takes 9 quarts of oil in the crankcase. This suggests a modification. How well done it is who knows with out looking at it.
Full hydraulics for a blade/groomer if you need them. Other wise they just add weight, the enemy of any snow cat.
The gauges are not original but the diff temp gauge is. I would be suspicious as to the actual hours.
It appears to be a sellers market, and we are in season. Could be it will bring more than it's worth.

So it a late 70s 1202 c if you get vin # it can be verified. The gauges are factory for that dash. The cab has been modified but looks factory as the top of the cab has been widened. Value you need to decide what it is worth to you or the seller it looks like a nice machine. It is a desirable machine be less than 102 width

It does look pretty clean. The red carpet on the engine cover adds value. The earmuffs are mandatory. Agree with VintageBike on the hours. Take it with a grain of salt.

From what I have seen all the gauges that Thiokol originally used at that time were Westach rebranded on the face ‘Thiokol’ except for the Hobbs hour meter with the 3 mounting screws. I contacted Westach , now in Ramona CA, a few years ago about replacements but they had trashed the silk screens used for the lettering just a few months earlier. 😟

The nada has recently increased on that machine….states it is now worth whatever someone is willing to pay….probably more than it sold for new.

It's a 1977. In the serial number the T is for Thiokol the 7 is the last digit of the year.

I've seen a few of the factory wide upper cabs over the years . The State of Alaska had one my buddy bought years ago and is still kicking around locally. It would not surprise me if the tach was correct as many of these machines were owned by utilities and government agencies that they just never used much. Low hours are not always a good thing, however. My value meter has trouble recalculating to todays world but $25,000 +/- $5,000 is what I suspect it would sell for if placed on the open market. I personally would cringe if I had to pay more that $15,000.

Mine has the same carpet. Probably factory. Also that one isn't faded. Must have been indoors.

My $0.02. seat condition coincide with hour meter. lack of dings coincide with hour meter. If you NEED it, $40k. If you want it $30K, If you like to have it 29.995K . That age, no matter what hour meter says, you going to do work on it. Maybe this one not as much as others, or maybe more. If you don't need that big rig, there are others /ready/ to go, just have money. https://classifieds.ksl.com/listing/70716774

why are youse guys kicking 369 day old threads back to life?

hours meters don't lie, and If you ran a cat into the service bay for an oil change and then back to its parking spot you would get more hours on it. look at the grousers they lie
or maybe I have that backwards

Sometimes machines just don't get used much, so 315 hours maybe correct.
I bought a snowmobile recently, with the digital dash, it keeps track of the hours. Despite being 2.5 years, it only has 7.3 hours on it, not a scratch, looks brand new, and I got a heck of a deal on it.
Plane shopping last summer, found a 44 year old plane, with 812 hours total.
It blows my mind how little some people use stuff.

Not trying to be lippy, but it takes lots of hours to wear down a steel grouser, so unless they put used wore out tracks on that cat........

A 1985 LMC1500 with 247 original hours. Verified by the shop manager of the original owner , a Nebraska Electric Utility. Always being stored inside helps too. They had to remove company door banner...Brad added the magnetic US flag for me.

Hi did you my comments about your LMC and my 1968 Spryte. It is in the photo, I believe, with yours. Did you buy yours in Brainerd Mn, after it was transported from Hastings NB?
