In the years 2002-2007, many of the roster of WWE performed fictional acts of crime, often times against the innocent. They didn't just carry out backstage assaults or blind side attacks, they pretended to commit felonies in the name of entertainment. I'd like to understand why this was done. What was going on in America to promote such a dark era?
