I worked with a lot of the guys that got laid off when Bethlem bought the mill in the mid 80's its still running today.

From 1919 through the 1950s, Lukens Steel Company operated the world's widest rolling mill, standing at 206 inches wide and still operating today. The site today, owned by ArcelorMittal, is the longest continuously operating iron and steel site in the United States.

I spent some time as a construction electrician assigned to iron works in Brillion WI ( lots of car parts ) and a foundry in Waupaca Wisconsin ( lots of axle components ) and now that I think of it a hot minute in Shawano WI ( more axle housings for dana/spicer ) I can still feel the heat.......
