The cabin remodel

Cut down a few more dead trees and made burn piles for later this winter, with the little boy watching over.
Notice the chain on him is a little overkill but last trip he broke a smaller one and almost got my cabin neighbor, if I hand not been right next to him and was able to grab the handle on his harness, Dave would have got a good mauling.

The last day I ran the dozer and the track loader, then topped off the fuel and pulled the batteries from the loader.
then my favorite chore is to go into that spooky ass brush where the spring head is to disconnect it for the winter.
I let a few rounds of 762x39 go into there first. Lots of bears been showing up on the cameras and one being in the 400# range. Now I’m done up there until I make a winter trip.

I remove the diesel heater and put it in the container, it doesn’t look waterproof, I measured up to make an aluminum cover for it, for the next trip

The mood changed up there the last day, woke up to much cooler temperatures and rain, also some snow at a little higher elevation.
